At PuppyDog, we are building an AI company for the future of product marketing. But from the beginning, we have believed that building a company is not only about customers, revenue, product, or growth. It is also about the kind of organization we become along the way.

That is why we are proud to share that PuppyDog has joined Pledge 1%, a global movement that helps companies make giving back part of their business model.

As part of this commitment, PuppyDog is pledging both company equity and employee time to support causes that matter to our team members and the communities around them.

For us, this is not a side project. It is part of the company we want to build.

Why we are joining Pledge 1%

Pledge 1% gives companies a simple but powerful framework: commit a portion of equity, product, profit, or employee time to social impact.

We are choosing to start with two commitments that are meaningful for an early-stage company like ours: equity and employee time.

The equity commitment reflects our belief that if PuppyDog succeeds, that success should create value beyond the company. It should also support communities, nonprofits, and causes that are doing important work in the world.

The employee time commitment reflects something equally important: giving back should not only happen someday in the future. It should happen now, through the time, skills, and energy of our team.

A global team, a global impact

PuppyDog is a global workforce. Our team members live in different places, come from different backgrounds, and care deeply about different causes.

That matters.

Rather than choosing one narrow corporate cause from the top, we want our impact to reflect the people building the company. That means supporting causes that matter most to our team members, including education, healthcare, community development, economic opportunity, technology access, and local organizations that are close to their lives.

As PuppyDog grows, we want our impact to grow with it.

Making giving part of our DNA

Many companies wait until they are much larger to think about philanthropy. We believe the better time to start is now.

The habits a company builds early often become the culture it carries later. By joining Pledge 1%, we are making a clear statement about the kind of company we want PuppyDog to become.

We want to build a company that is ambitious, but grounded.

A company that uses AI to help businesses communicate better, but also remembers the human communities behind every business.

A company that celebrates growth, but also shares responsibility.

A company where giving back is not a campaign, but part of the operating system.

Joining a Larger Movement

We are proud to join the global Pledge 1% community alongside companies such as Salesforce, Airbnb, Atlassian, and Coveo, all of which have committed to using a portion of their success for good.

As Leslie Gildea, VP of Equity at Pledge 1%, shared:

“The best time to think about long-term impact is while you're building long-term value. PuppyDog’s equity pledge reflects a long-term vision that innovation and impact can grow together, and we’re thrilled to welcome them to the Pledge 1% community.”

That message deeply resonates with us.

At PuppyDog, we believe innovation and impact are not competing priorities. The strongest companies of the future will be those that create value not only for shareholders, but for society as a whole.

For PuppyDog, this is just the beginning.

We are still early. Our company is still growing. Our impact program will evolve. But we believe it is important to make the commitment now, while our culture is still being shaped.

Because the companies that last are not only the ones that build useful products. They are the ones that build trust, values, and responsibility into their foundation.

We are excited to begin this journey and grateful to our team, customers, partners, and community for being part of it.
